1. Introduction  

This documentation specifies the procedure necessary to integrate your online store to PagBrasil to process payments with Automatic Pix. Pix is a payment method developed by the Central Bank of Brazil that enables transactions to occur in less than 10 seconds, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – including weekends and holidays. By selecting Automatic Pix at the checkout page, users can scan a QR Code using their smartphones to authorize future recurring charges.

PagBrasil Automatic Pix supports two journey options: requesting the user to make the initial payment while providing consent for automatic future recurring charges, or simply obtaining their consent for future charges without requiring an initial payment (e.g., ideal for trial periods). Each of these journey specifications is detailed in sections 4 and 6, respectively.

PagBrasil APIs are provided for proper and responsible usage. Abuse or misuse may prompt rate limiting or similar restrictive measures.
